Catalogued as APF 199, this is the most candidly reclaimed piece in the collection: the octagonal basin is assembled from repurposed stone blocks that still carry old drill holes and fixing marks from a previous life, left visible rather than hidden. A square plinth at the centre carries a carved campana shaped urn, gently flared like a classical vase. Photographed with the dealer measurements shown, close to nine feet across.
