Grand Arched Limestone Wall Fountain with Carved Cartouche

A genuinely monumental wall fountain, built up from jointed limestone blocks into a tall arched crest carved with a foliate motif. At its centre a shield shaped cartouche carries the iron spout, flanked by heavy scrolled brackets that step down to a wide basin with canted corners. The stone is mineral stained and softly weathered throughout, the mark of real age rather than a finish applied afterward. Photographed against black to show the full scale and carving.
