Lion Mask Pedestal Fountain with Octagonal Basin

A commanding centrepiece fountain, its square pedestal carved on two faces with recessed panels holding a pair of lion masks and capped with a ball finial, rising from the middle of a generous octagonal basin. The rim is built from heavy moulded blocks with softly worn arrises, and the whole piece measures over eight feet across the basin and better than seven and a half feet to the top of the finial.
